September 19, 2015 – Loudon, NH…Groundbreaking for the North East Motor Sports Museum will be at 2pm on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the site where the museum will be constructed. It’s just north of the Shell station on New Hampshire Motor Speedway property on Rt 106 in Loudon, NH.
The twelve “Groundbreakers” that will participate in the ceremony are Ken Smith, Skip Matczak, Dave Frahm, Andy Cusack, Frank Manafort, Bill Manafort (Frank’s son), Bentley Warren, Ron Bouchard, Paula Bouchard in honor of her father Ed Flemke, Joey Logano, Ricky Craven and Dick Berggren.
Each has contributed over $25,000 to the project and will forever be considered as among the museum’s “Founders.”
Music will be provided by Scott Spradling’s band “Mixed
Nuts.” Speakers at the event which will be emceed by Mark Hann include NH Senator representing Loudon John Reagan, Senate President Chuck Morse, Senator Andrew Hosmer, Jerry Gappens, Loudon Selectman Bob Krieger and some Groundbreakers.
Examples of every major form of New England motorsports will be on display, each of them from long ago.
The free event promises to be historic and fast-moving. It’s open to the public. A limited number of special souvenir glasses will be available at no cost.
