Rain Wins at Oswego Speedway

OSWEGO, NY (May 30, 2015) – Oswego Speedway’s Spring Championship, presented by Best Western PLUS/Quality Inn and Suites Riverfront, has been cancelled due to prolonged rain showers and thunderstorms.

An initial bout of storms rolled through the Port City at approximately 3:30 p.m., delaying hot laps.

After a drying period both the Novelis Supermodifieds and the Pathfinder Bank SBS received warm-up sessions before another set of showers and storms hit the area at just after 5:30 p.m., officially ending the evening.

Oswego Speedway will return to action next Saturday, June 6 with a 50-lap main for the Novelis Supermodifieds and a 30-lap main for the Pathfinder Bank SBS presented by Century 21 Galloway Realty and http://www.OswegoCountyToday.com.

Pit gates will open on June 6 at 2 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. and racing action taking place at 6:30 p.m.

General admission seating for Saturday is just $15 with reserved seating set at $20.

Price Chopper Tickets to Go will also be available at any Price Chopper Supermarkets store for only $14.

Kids 16 and under with paid adult and active military with I.D. will be admitted free.

Those who purchased pit passes on May 30 must bring their pit ticket and wristband to the pit window on June 6 in order to be readmitted.

Those who purchased grandstand admission on May 30 must bring their grandstand ticket, which serves as a rain check, to the ticket window on June 6 in order to be readmitted.

If any of those items, in either scenario are missing, a new ticket or pit pass will need to be purchased. No exceptions.
