SANDUSKY, OH, March 25th, 2015- Sandusky Speedway has announced the hiring of two race officials for the 2015 season. One a veteran, the other a rookie.
Rob Natole, a former pit steward and flagman, has been hired by the speedway to fulfill the duties of race director.
Natole, a fixture at Sandusky Speedway since the 1977 season, was most recently a part-time flagman when the Midwest Supermodified Association came into town during the 2014 racing season.
“Rob is a great friend and one of the best all-around track employees in the community. Nothing that Rob does is done with anything less than the utmost excellence,” stated speedway owner Kevin Jaycox.
16-year-old Jarrett Emmerich is returning to the fold for the 2015 season in a much bigger way. His official duties now include media responsibilities for all five of the K&B Promotions branches, highlighted by taking the Sandusky Speedway into its 66th season. The Main Event Racing Series outlaw body super late models, the Midwest Supermodified Association, the Buckeye Super Sprint Series non-wing sprint cars, and the Sandusky Speedway Go Kart Series are featured at the track.
“Jarrett has established himself as one of the best communicators in American motorsports with a deep understanding of both racing and the English language,” said K&B Promotions director Kevin Jaycox. “The track is regaining its rightful spot at the pinnacle of American motorsports and bringing Jarrett on full-time is the move that we needed to make to help move ourselves to the next level.”
