Sobus Racing Fundraiser to Benefit Cancer Patient

Portions of Sobus Racing Fundraiser to be Donated to Nine Year Old Julian Ross

OSWEGO, NY (March 2, 2015) – Sobus Racing and driver Brian Sobus will be holding their Novelis Supermodified team fundraiser for the upcoming Oswego Speedway season this Saturday, March 7 at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego with portions of the proceeds going to help young Julian Ross, a nine-year old Oswego boy battling stage four neuroblastoma.

The Sobus Racing fundraiser will run from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on March 7 with chicken barbecue or pulled pork dinners available for $10.

Several 50/50 and door prize raffles will be a apart of the evening including a STIHL gas-powered weed trimmer from CNY Power Equipment with tickets only $5 to be included in the drawing.

Julian Ross is battling stage four neuroblastoma, a cancer of the Sympathetic Nervous System.  Ross is in his fourth relapse since his diagnosis in August of 2011 and has received treatments at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  Ross’ doctors have now listed his cancer as terminal, but he has not given up his fight.

Sobus Racing is proud to be able to donate a portion of their fundraiser’s proceeds to Ross to help offset his family’s accumulating medical bills.

Brian Sobus is a veteran of Small Block Super and supermodified racing at Oswego Speedway and is looking to make a full-time return to Oswego Speedway in 2015 driving his family owned No. 79 Novelis Supermodified.

Sobus debuted his new ride in August of 2014, time trialing as a part of the Fast 14 qualifiers for the 58th annual Budweiser International Classic 200.
