Stephens Leads Points by 29 Marks Over Schultz

August 2, 2014 – Lorain, OH…Lorain County Speedway will have Open Wheel Madness tonight as the BioBased.US Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) Supermodifieds make their third appearance of the season. The North Coast Modified Series will run their fifty lap feature, the fifth of the season. The Grand Nationals and Chargers will also be in action along with The Parking Lot Drags.
The BioBased.US Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) Supermodifieds top ten point standings has defending champion Trent Stephens leading with 485 points followed by Charlie Schultz 456; Kyle Edwards 455; Jon Henes 440; Jim Paller 411; Dave Shullick Jr. 405; Mike McVetta 382; AJ Lesiecki / Riser 371; Marlowe / D.Shirey / Eden 291 and Kevin Jaycox Jr. with 251 points.
The pit gate opens today at 2 p.m. with tech at 2:15 p.m. The qualifying order at 3 p.m. will be Grand Nationals, Modifieds and Chargers. There will be three ten lap sessions per division and two MSA Supermodifieds practice sessions. The MSA Supermodifieds will qualify at 5:30 p.m. The preliminary and feature race order will be Chargers, Grand Nationals, Modifieds, and MSA Supermodifieds. The Parking Lot Drags will be at 8 p.m.
Adult admission is $17, free to ages 12 and younger. A pit pass is $30 for all ages. Last weeks racing program was rained out for only the second time this season. Coming up next Saturday night will be a Family Fun Night with the weekly divisions in action. Call (440) 986-7223.
