Midwest Supermodified Association Visits Lorain County Speedway Today


Stephens Looking for Four in a Row

July 5, 2014 – Lorain, OH…Lorain County Speedway will have plenty to offer tonight for this holiday weekend. It will be “Open Wheel Madness” as the Bio Based.US Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) Supermodifieds make their second appearance of the season to the 3/8th mile oval.

In addition to the MSA Supermodifieds, the North Coast Modified Series returns with another fifty lap feature race. The Grand Nationals and Chargers will be in action plus there will be Parking Lot Drags and fireworks. The pit gate opens today at 2 p.m. with tech at 2:15 p.m. Time trials start at 3 p.m. in this order – Grand Nationals, Modifieds, Chargers, three sessions per division of ten laps each. The MSA Supermodifieds will have two practice sessions and will qualify at 5:30 p.m. Racing starts at 7 p.m. Adult admission is $17, free to ages 12 and younger. Pit area admission is $30 for all ages.
The preliminary and feature event order will be Chargers, Grand Nationals, Modifieds, MSA Supermodifieds. The Parking Lot Drags are set for 8 p.m. The fireworks display will be after the feature races.
The current Bio Based.US Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) points standings has defending champion Trent Stephens leading with 409 points. The rest of the top ten are Kyle Edwards 373; Charlie Schultz 373; Jon Henes 369; Jim Paller 356; Dave Shullick Jr. 336; Mike McVetta 319; A.J. Lesiecki / Riser 316; Marlowe / D.Shirey / Eden 228; Denny Fisher 189.
