Sandusky, OH – June 22, 2013…Bills Auto sponsored the Sat. June 22, 2013 racing program at Sandusky Speedway. The Adkins Glass Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) Supermodifieds, the Ignitable Technologies Modifieds, the Pizza Brothers Street Stocks and the Milan Automotive Hobby Stocks were in action. This would be the last appearence by the Supermodifieds at Sandusky Speedway until the Hy-Miler Supermodified Nationals July 26 & 27.

The sky was threatening as the racing program began. The Ignitable Technologies Modifieds, the Pizza Brothers Street Stocks and the Milan Automotive Hobby Stocks were able to get their dash races in before the rain came. After the rain stopped the track drying process began and continued for the next two hours. When the track was deemed race ready the format would be changed to feature racing only for all divisions.

Setting the fast qualifying time for the MSA was Dave Shullick Jr with a 14.453. Shullick Jr. would go on to win the thirty lap feature.

The Adkins Glass Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) Supermodifieds were pushed out next for their thirty lap feature. The front row was Charlie Schultz and Kyle Vanderpool with Schultz jumping out to a six car length lead over Vanderpool. Running third was last weeks Toledo Speedway feature winner Jimmy McCune followed by Jon Henes and the new ACME Racing pilot Trevor Berry.

There was a tangle on the front straight involving Bobby Dawson and Jim Paller on lap ten. The race was red flagged as both drivers were out of the race and neither driver was injured. On the restart it was Dave Shullick Jr. taking to the outside groove and taking the lead from Schultz. Shullick Jr. had opened up a half straightaway lead as Trent Stephens was giving chase in second.

Schultz was third followed by Vanderpool and Berry. Shullick Jr. threaded his way through the lap cars as Stephens was still a distant second. At the stripe it was Dave Shullick Jr. scoring his twenty fourth career win in the Supermodifieds in a very convincing fashion.
